Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience working at ESR. Feedback from current and prior employees is important, so I would like to respond to yours. To you and current team members who might be reading this, we take concerns regarding favoritism and nepotism seriously in that the presence of those things could impact the trust and the feeling of safety in our culture. ESR has comprehensive policies pertaining to how it allows family members to work together at ESR and closely follows them. Policies that employees can use in handling this or other concerns that develop are covered in ESR’s employee handbook, in annual training and through an “anonymous reporting of concerns process” available to all employees. I wish you would have taken advantage of these procedures before you left ESR. I know people who have used them have felt heard and often gained insight that helped them feel valued or navigate relevant next steps regarding their situation. It is hard to understand what about your compensation or overtime was a detractor to you. We did not reduce your pay once we agreed on what your compensation would be and we did explain prior to hire that overtime would be required at times. With an economy and client volume that have been hard to plan for in COVID19 times, overtime was definitely needed in recent months. It seemed prudent for the welfare of current employees that we supported overtime work versus hiring extra staff we might quickly not need. We have very much appreciated the extra effort our entire team has contributed and know that some have appreciated the opportunity to earn extra income in trying times.

Pros

Easy schedule. People make it fun sometimes.

Cons

No 401k. No raises! No opportunity to grow. Want to get as much work done with little pay.

Each employee’s perspective is important to ESR and we value honest feedback. We would like to address several of the issues found in this comment • The comment that ESR does not have a 401K is correct. Because ESR is a technology company, we have comparatively few employees for a business of our size. This affects our ability to have a 401K program that achieves the legally required level of participation. We will continue to explore adding a 401K program and have looked at alternative options for this important employee benefit. • The comment that there is no opportunity to grow is not true. Client services, information processing, verification services and product management are all led by individuals promoted from within. We always seek to elevate current employees as we grow before looking outside of ESR. • Regarding the comment on no raises, ESR has minimum/maximum pay scale ranges for each position and each team member is eligible for increases across that range based on performance. We have also provided annual bonuses to all employees in each of the last 3 years. • ESR pays for 100% of the employee premiums for healthcare, dental and vision care, and also provides a $50,000 life insurance policy. This fully paid for benefit is unusual for a company of our size. • The comment on upgrading work equipment is unclear to us. Each team member has a dedicated workstation with a current generation Dell computer fitted with two 23” displays, a direct extension phone, and a real-time inter office messaging system. Office equipment meets or exceeds minimum business standards. ESR has many channels for employees to convey feedback to our leadership team – our ideas portal invites them to finish the sentence, “Wouldn’t it be great if ESR could…” and another is a channel through which employees are encouraged to report any issues with processes, procedures or…really anything. All employee issues and feedback are brought before the leadership team and are addressed. We love employee feedback and act on it in a meaningful way when we receive it.

Pros

Great teams to work with and the schedule is nice. The benefits are fantastic.

Cons

Certain management in the office is unwilling to listen to the teams below. Still very much in the start up business stage despite being around for a few years.
