Pros

Most associates are great to work with. Nice environment in most of the locations. Mr. Michaelis and Mr. Page are very nice to work for - demanding yet fair. A lot of projects to work on all of the time - you are not going to coast through anything here. Training is fairly complete and regular updates are provided to make sure you can do your job effectively.

Cons

I would agree with previous posters that if you are not in the "club" in terms of upper management, you have no chance at advancement. Certain executives are unsure of themselves or have a limited view of what really happens in their divisions and have a hard time making decisions. When they do finally decide something and it goes wrong, blame quickly shifts to others. Very quick to fire individuals for mistakes without giving any reason or coaching opportunities. Technology seems old and technical support not very responsive.

Pros

Many of the tellers are amazing at what they do and are always willing to help when asked. M.D. Michaelis (Owner) and Thomas A. Page (President), are great individuals. They have a open door policy and if you have any questions or concerns are always willing to help. They have been known to show up at every branch location and hand out bonuses and to say thank you to each and every employee. The best part is, you can actually tell they truly mean it when they say it.

Cons

Many of the personal bankers and branch managers have been known to take anything and everything you say out of context. Then later use it against you. You are never allowed to make a mistake or else you will be called into a back room and written up (even if you drawer is .50cents off). The branch managers are responsible for deciding who all gets bonuses and lets the upper management know what they feel is everyone's "fare share" or "contributed effort" is for bonuses. Considering there is only one member of management at each location, if you happen to not be "in" with your boss you are likely to get very little to nothing.

Pros

The other people who worked there.

Cons

Management at all levels. Sales goals multiplied by 1.25-1.5x Quarter-over-Quarter and then were multiplied 4.5x Year-over-Year. Complete lack of flexibility in scheduling, up to and including outright lying: "oh yes, we can accommodate that" became "no, your schedule is this."
