Pros
This company is all about opportunity. It’s not for everyone... well, it’s not for most people. Those who give it a try and fail feel like they have to blame the company so they won’t have to look in the mirror and realize that they have failed.
People call this business a scam. What makes it a scam? It is a direct marketing and sales company. Everyone is trained throughly before they are sent into the field. If you have a poor work ethic and/or student mentality, you won’t make any money. It is commission-based employment. That is made clear from the get-go. The vast majority of everyone who has made it into management started from the bottom. So it is possible to be successful here. Obviously, most people are not cut out for the challenges, though.
Most people want a fixed salary because they want to put as little effort forth as possible for a guaranteed salary. With commission based positions, you make what you’re worth. Most people who aren’t successful in this business have a hard time accepting that fact when they fail to find success here.
I’ve been in this business for six months now and I’ve made more money here than I have at any 9-5 I’ve had previously. I once had a job where I got paid $18 per hour with a lot of overtime. Although I don’t always make that much, Ive made more than that pretty often, if not close to it. I refuse to allow any company to tell me what I’m worth with an hourly salary. I determine what I’m worth on a daily basis and paid accordingly.
As far as for people calling it a pyramid scheme, the company asks for no investment beyond your time and effort, just like any other job. There is a pyramid in that you have to work your way up the ranks, but every job has a similar hierarchy.
If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, an excellent work ethic/student mentality, then you can thrive in this business; if not stop blaming everyone but yourself when you fail.
Cons
This job is only fit for those who have an entrepreneurial mindset and for those who realize that they prove what they are worth through a performance based salary. As long as someone has a strong work ethic, they will do well. It is a mentally tough job, but the long-term results are more than worth it. You don’t fail until you quit.
