Pros

ESPP, health benefits, 3 weeks vacation (good luck using it), good regulatory and compliance department, sales department is strong

Cons

Clinical team is a joke and doesn't have a clue. CEO is an arrogant heartless man who is in over his head and lacks the experience and education to grow this company and the culture is very "boy's club only." Not one female on the board and only 3 women execs in the entire company. There are no perks at all. No casual Fridays, no team building, no free lunches. There is one Christmas party a year held in the parking lot for an hour and again, you can't wear jeans ever. There is no promotion from within unless you are in engineering. The products aren't that great and although they claim to be innovative, they lack the clinical experience to get anywhere and end up pulling back like they did with Ventana after killing people. In the last year, they have lost 5 members of their management team which directly has to deal with the CEO and his volatile nature. You will never hear "good job, or thank you." Ever. The CEO will talk about you behind your back and plays favorites and he is the cheapest man you will ever meet and will argue against giving you a proper merit adjustment or bonus, whatever he can say to validate you not getting paid. You will work nights and weekends and will be glued to your phone, so forget about having a family or going to your child's first dentist appointment or your own dentist appointment. Instead of producing quality products, they make faulty cheap products, hurt people, and then work on fixing the product. Take a job here to hope to make some money in the stock. You will be miserable for a few years but you might make some money. You will not get rich from the salary. Endologix is a company with no culture, no fun, and no soul. You will leave there exhausted and sucked completely dry and won't realize it until you are out of that place and free. I am not optimistic about the future of this company under this leadership team. The stock will continue to fall.

Pros

Casual environment is the only pro for this poorly managed and financially unstable company. Some people are way too casual.

Cons

Executive management and employees are constantly leaving the company to work for financially stable medtech companies. The financial climate of the company is dire. Half of the company are contractors, as the company cannot afford to pay appropriate salaries and benefits for permanent employees. Annual budgets are constantly decreasing as well as nothing new or innovative about the products. Majority of physcians refuse to use the product since their are too many complications during procedures and complaints from patients. The company will tell you that they are saving lives, but they are actually saving costs by producing products that are far less than satisfactory and cheaply manufactured. The sales management and team have not generated any money for the company for the past 4 years (due to physicians rejecting the use of all products). I have seen more than 35 executive staff leave the company within the last year and more the previous so there must be either another merger on the horizon to buy out company or this work environment is just p!ss poor as the good ol’ boy network that the runs this incredibly financially unstable and mismanaged company. I’m moving on to bigger and better opportunities, just in time before this ship sinks!

Pros

Good talent and friendly employees (non-management). New and well-maintained facility. Offers electric car charging. Plenty of parking. On-site gym. Free fruit two times a week.

Cons

Turnover is extremely high, resulting in very little historical product and process knowledge. Employees are treated as a moveable resource headcount and moved around as needed by management, and because of this, there is no talent /career development. Toxic environment. There is no focus on developing a pleasant company culture. People are always blaming others and throwing departments/people under the bus. New comers keep joining and trying to revolutionize the way things are done, which results in a very unstable environment. Work load is very high and stressful. Processes and systems are cumbersome and designed for a large company with more resources, which prevents even small tasks from being accomplished quickly. Engineers are not empowered to think freely, problem solve, or lead projects. Very few things can be completed at the Engineering peer level. Everything has to be signed off by a Manager or above. Politics are a huge obstacle. Favoritism is rampant. Management tries to undermine other departments by refusing to approve or sign off on things until what they want done is accomplished. Operations is completely mismanaged with little / no concern for product quality. The concern is always cost over the patient. Priorities are constantly changing. Projects are not well-planned. The teams are constantly cutting corners to cut costs. Management is not transparent and does not properly communicate their vision (if any).
