Pros

There are no benefits for teachers. The owners take everything.

Cons

Numerous problems. The owners are rude, selfish, creepy, drunks, and liars.

Pros

Can't think of any worth mentioning except that the bosses and managers are rarely there.

Cons

Bosses (2 of them) are rarely there and have no idea what's going on. When they do show up, they are completely unprofessional. Nobody cares about teachers' well-being, and you aren't allowed paid sick leave. Teachers' materials are disorganized, outdated, and filthy. The pay is substandard for the cost of living. The 20 paid vacation days (under European policy) are not provided. Health care and retirement are not provided. Mentoring, support, and professional feedback were not provided. Management expects teachers to do the job of the academic director without pay. Teachers are expected to spend hours (particularly before lessons and during their "breaks") just photocopying workbooks because these are not provided to the students. The "game" library is a disorganized mess; thus, cutting out cards or games takes hours. The Resource library is falling apart and has no organization, making it impossible to retrieve activities effectively. The online resource bank is chaotic with mislabeled or missing content, so it cannot be relied upon. They expect teachers to handle all such administrative tasks without pay. Annual raises fell behind national inflation by more than 15%. Managers have emotional issues — i.e., they cry, yell, and become weirdly insulting or avoidant during confrontations. The managers make unacceptable, derogatory remarks about students and teachers. The managers bark orders at the reception and are condescending towards the teachers. Sometimes, shouting at and insulting the staff in the public reception area in front of the students. The general feeling of management is that "What teachers forget is that they can easily be replaced." So when a teacher complains or demands fair treatment under the law as a full-time employee, they will be fired and replaced with someone who doesn't ask for anything but the money. I cannot think of a job where I have felt less appreciated and undervalued.

Communicating with kids is always fun and happy. Sharing my knowledge to others gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Cons

Hard to dealing with kids, since they are sometimes rude and keep wining
