Pros

Remote work flexibility was a major benefit and helped with work-life balance. The role offers exposure to core service desk responsibilities and is a reasonable entry point for gaining basic IT support experience as a short-term stepping stone.

Cons

Management pressure remained high even as staffing levels were reduced, leading to increased workloads and burnout. Compensation was low relative to expectations. Career growth opportunities were minimal, with employees reaching a ceiling quickly and little chance for promotion or skill expansion. When business slowed, the company appeared to handle reductions by terminating individuals rather than conducting formal layoffs, which created job insecurity and negatively impacted team morale.
