Pros

if you want to work in the media, it's a good place to add on your resume

Cons

The pay is an absolute joke. The benefits are barely acceptable and if you're not a man, you will be fighting and clawing your way up to be taken professionally. I had many meetings where I was the only female present (among 10+ executive INCLUDING the President) and comments, remarks and jokes were made that were crude, rude and sometimes offensive. The hours are awful (9-6 MINIMUM), they don't encourage anyone to work from home, executives like to point out WHO they are ("do you know who I am?" was a question I heard a lot), and as I said, the PAY IS AWFUL. I was there 10 mths and quit - one of the worst experiences in my life - and I've worked in media and tv and music for years previous to that. The turnover rate is extremely high and everyone I know who used to work there (I kept in touch with over 12) have all quit - no one lasted two years. No room to move up Internal promotions happened ALL the time to VPs and above....I never saw ONE person who was a manager, coordinator or assistant get promoted.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to write this review. It is unfortunate that your time at Entertainment One did not live up to your expectations; we consider our people our best asset and we strive for them to feel valued in every way possible. We are also sorry to hear you felt the benefits offered were not sufficient. We endeavor to offer competitive benefits coverage for medical and dental with no employee co-pay. Regarding your experience with our Human Resources team, as the company grows our HR team is expanding in order to provide additional services and support to our employees worldwide. We value your feedback in order to continually improve as an organization and we take your recommendations seriously. As a result of our most recent engagement survey, we already have a number of new initiatives underway to better improve as an organization. If you would like to provide more specific feedback we would be happy to hear from you at hr@entonegroup.com.

Pros

Netflix, Amazon, Social aspects If you suck up you will probably be promoted 10 times within a year.

Cons

Encouraged to interact and be sociable but then it is used against you and portrayed as a negative. Managers pass work they don't want to do onto juniors and then take credit for the work. Kiss assing is far too common and if you don't do it, you are a problem. High turnover - always looking for staff and acting like its because they are growing - LIES HR department only have the interests of senior people in mind, they treat anyone at the bottom as irrelevant and easily replaced. Lack of communication in the company and when you ask questions you are told it doesn't concern you despite it being a company wide thing. Management has no consistency, very top heavy with large egos. The company has no structure. Management is experimenting with their employees which is resulting in alot of hire/fire situations, which will only end badly and again result in more and more layoffs and people leaving.
