Pros
If you're in your first few years of college, this is a great way to make a lot of money for the summer. The base pay is minimum wage ($12 at the time I worked there, higher now). As a manager you can expect to work 45-50 hours a week & therefore get 5-10 hours of overtime. If you get a lot of donations, the commission is very high, and I ended up making about $18/hr all told.
Cons
You will walk around wealthy neighborhoods under the blistering sun getting doors shut in your face for 5 hours straight. It can be very demoralizing. The good days are great but few and far between.
