Low Pay, Low Investment

Pros

Really nice co-workers, you get to be outside all day.

Cons

Low hourly wage for long hot hours of walking. Ridiculous Quota system that limits hourly wages if you don’t sell enough which can threaten your job. A facade of “real grassroots change” when their is no transparency where the money is going specifically and there is little contact with any upper management, simply told the money goes back into the campaign and towards policy/lobby efforts. Team Leads read of scripts during training and team meetings, showing a lack of investment and more focus on broader campaign and own personal gain over canvassers while relying on us for donations.

Pros

Nice and passionate people. Important campaigns. Room for advancement if you want it (and have a degree)

Cons

Insultingly low pay. They roll your benefits into your pay in order to get to pay you less then they originally told you. You’ll make more almost anywhere else.
