      Poisonous working environment

      Pros

      Some truly lovely people work here, but unfortunately they have their personalities squashed on an almost daily basis

      Cons

      No constructive appraisal process is followed HR policy is not followed No CPD offered, encouraged, or facilitated Angry management personnel Petty culture of demeaning individuals who could add so much more Zenophobic and mildly racist comments in the working environment are commonplace Senior management are unaware of the skills of their staff and unaware of the skills required to do the job.

      Client and costs valued much higher than employees and quality service. let down by poor managment throughout.

      Pros

      Flexibility in shifts. Company van.

      Cons

      Terrible management; no focus on employee welfare or wellbeing. management are too distant from employees that they have no real understanding of their job roles. No management seem to have any HR understanding and will never give praise for hard work, but only contact to criticize or request more work. Any offers, promisies or contracts are always wrong, false, mistaken or in someway not what was promised. ALWAYS get things written down before agreeing to anything!

      Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry to hear that your experience of working at ESG is not the positive working environment that we intend to provide. We value all feedback, and we continue to find ways to improve. Our Managers attend formal training in Leadership, People Management and Career pathways in order to support their teams within their roles and in professional development. We also operate a quarterly employee recognition scheme and encourage regular feedback through our ‘Thank You’ portal to celebrate everyday examples of hard work and success. Every year, we conduct an anonymous employee survey so staff have the opportunity to share their honest opinions about working at ESG; we take all the feedback received on board and it allows us to address any areas of improvement. I am concerned to hear that you believe contract is wrong, and that you have been offered or promised things that have not been delivered.       Senior Analyst, Spec Chem. ESG: Employees Suffer Greatly

      Pros

      Some pleasant colleagues. Was significantly better place to work as "Scientifics" prior to sale.

      Cons

      The absolute dregs of the industry. Atrocious management (although the CEO has since been replaced). Decent managers usually swiftly dispatched. No training in seven years. No investment in staff, who are generally treated as a disposable commodity. Bullying of staff, even by Managers (see Spec Chem) goes unpunished. Will do anything to save a few quid.
