Pros

You are often left alone to get on with your work - meaning you can get quite a bit done and the problems are sometimes challenging. It is also an awesome place to learn to learn about office politics and life in general. If you enjoyed the book "The 48 laws of power" by Robert Greene then this is the place for you. You can see each chapter played out daily by the various people orbiting the CEO and even the CEO himself. Based on some of the other reviews on this site the creative writing coming out of the management of this company is also top notch.

Cons

Way too many meetings. You end up listening to people from other teams droning on from pre written A4 sheets for hours. These meetings generally started around 6:30pm. You are also required to attend corporate workshop weekends which are dressed up as fun trips away. If you enjoy being thanked (personally) by 3rd world school children for your companies school donation and doing hungover "trust fall" style activities then maybe you'd enjoy these weekends.

Pros

Reasonable amount of development autonomy. Occasionally the work could be quite interesting. Occasionally the bonuses were reasonable. Some of the people there were quite smart.

Cons

The office had a real "us and them" feel (management v labour). The scale of office politics was astounding, particularly for a company this size. Management is known to renege on verbal offers and use their lawyers to find loopholes in written contracts.

Pros

Still a relatively small company where you would think it would be possible to make an impact, bring real change and make some money.

Cons

It will stay a small company due to poor management and the inability of its managers to plan a coherent path ahead, either on the trading or technical front.
