Pros

The organization's mission is great, most of the employees are dedicated and work well with each other. Unlimited PTO

Cons

Upper management and executive leadership is severely lacking in building a culture of trust and cohesion. Lots of turnover because they change directions on a whim, undermining job security and confidence. The role is actually 2 or 3 jobs in one and leadership is unwilling to compensate accordingly.

Pros

It has a great mission, nice office space in Dupont, WFH flexibility, Executives who are good people from my experience, and decent benefits.

Cons

My experience was that the organization lacked organization. I did not receive my 60-day or 90-day review on time. My Direct supervisor often found reasons to miss check-ins with no make-up, especially toward the end of my experience. My direct supervisor would criticize my work with no actual constructive feedback to improve. Overall, I would say that although their Fellows, VPs, & others do great work, some of the lower positions, in my experience, aren't valued, which is how I felt. I mean, the first three months of my job, I hardly had any work, and it seemed almost no one cared; the next five months weren't much different; it was just not a very serious place to work.

Great Mission, Good People, but Disorganized

Pros

The staff and fellows are amazing people. The mission is great. The benefits are good and the organization is fairly accommodating to flexible schedule needs.

Cons

There are a lot of office politics. Ask for the pay you need to live before working here, there are few/no merit increases. There is high turn over for most roles. There are disparities between how some employees are treated and paid for the same roles. Some employees are allowed to work remotely while others are required to be in office. It’s unclear why anyone is needed in the office. Every one is friendly, but I suggest remaining reserved until you navigate the culture there.
