It's All About the Bottom Line

Pros

It's in a walkable location.

Cons

This company is held by a private equity firm, so it's painfully obvious that it's all about ROI. Toxic culture spreads down from the higher-ups; you will constantly sense how minimally you are valued. The location, while walkable, is in a very unsavory part of DTLA. It reeks of urine everywhere. There are often aggressive or homeless individuals hanging around the building. How many times can one reinvent the backpack for a baby? Good luck with your 5 year plan.

Pros

SLOW to change. Long arduous painful processes to implement new procedures Managers make bonuses based on lower level employees performance Managers have ultimate flexibility

Cons

Management is a good ol boys club Pay is menial considering the work load They will overload you with work if an employee from your department goes on leave or quits make no mistake you will be doing the full job of two people for months or even years Lower level employees receive NO bonuses based on performance or even a Christmas Bonus Distracted so much by outpacing the competition that they cannot effectively meet goals Lack mentality Fear based management

Pros

Most people are nice and easy to work with

Cons

Clique environment, not professional, very focused on culture rather than improving process or work, no room for growth and finally the very expensive downtown parking. Overall this is a place to work if you don't expect to accomplish much or grow.
