Pros

The occasional nice coworker or customer.

Cons

Employees are pitted against each other and used as a point of comparison to drag others down, extremely poor communication especially between the various managers leading to infighting and disagreements, absurd and ever-changing expectations (I.e: jumping from being expected to watch 4 rooms to expected to watch up to 6-7 rooms (5-6 cameras each), reset lists (used to double-check) were simply abandoned when keeping them updated got slightly too hard), little to no accommodations for mental illness aside from ‘suck it up’, no benefits- all of this for $18/hr base pay on an inconsistent schedule.

Pros

Coworkers can be really awesome and make or break the job. Relatively easy job with repetitive work. Good management will work around school or other jobs.

Cons

Corporate is quick to fire anyone that criticizes them and will use the excuse of labor hours or profit. If you get bad management or coworkers the job can be dreadful. Customers can be difficult and sometimes aggressive. Raises are hard to get.

Pros

Everything about my store is fantastic. Management cares, we love what we do. Pay is bad but you have incentives to learn as you get raises based on game knowledge. Managers and the GM fight for worker's rights and are genuinely amazing people

Cons

HQ is suffocating. They don't take any feedback and won't listen to us about games and how we believe they should be run, despite half of them never playing an escape room with us or understanding how an escape room works. Also pay us more.
