Not A Good Eved

Pros

- Eved has some tremendous people working for it which make the days working there more enjoyable than they ought to be. - If you're willing to put in the extra time, then there is room to grow.

Cons

- To Put it Bluntly, The Product Sucks The software is a chore to use as the user experience feels like a complete afterthought. Yeah, it's functional in that does what it sets out to do (save Eved's corporate clients money) but you can't help but feel sympathy for the users who need to work against the grain day in and day out when using it. To top it off, whenever a software update gets rolled out, it ships ridden by bugs and mind boggling design decisions. Don't tell upper management about this as according to them 2 out of 3 users love using the software, despite there being no concrete data supporting any such statement. - No Defined Company Values and Questionable Morals I would describe Eved's company culture as shady at its worst and non-existent at its best. Due to lack of defined company values and questionable business practices (auto collect anyone?) I don't see how anyone can identify with the company on a personal level. If you're the type of person whose work needs to resonate with them in order to feel fulfilled at the end of the day, I'd look elsewhere. - Lack Of Organization and Structure I've worked at a few startups in my day and can speak from experience when I say that organization is typically not their strength, but Eved takes this to a new level. From the onboarding process to the way they handle employees who'd prefer to part ways, there is a distinct lack of processes in place that can leave one wondering if they're at a legitimate place of business, or part of some really elaborate ruse.

Pros

Most employees are really nice

Cons

There's very high turnover, although the CEO doesn't think so. It's a really small company. They count their outsourced, overseas, third-party development team as full time employees.

Pros

Some nice, smart and dedicated employees Close to the brown line train Happy hours on Friday

Cons

CEO doesn’t lead by example. People can’t take time off but she is never around (except for a few hours a day) and is on vacation all the time. Management is not ethical. They cannot seem to get traction with the product. It makes the user’s, vendor’s, etc. life harder and costs vendors more. Management is so arrogant they can’t even see or admit what is wrong and refuse to listen to anyone who tells them otherwise.
