Pros
I love the culture here. Everyone looks out for each other and works hard for our members. My coworkers are the best group of people I have ever worked with . They are compassionate, caring, competent and always go the extra mile. Employees are encouraged to share their ideas and speak up. We participated in an engagement study and the feedback staff gave was to get bonuses which we then all got. Management really care and want the best for employees, the members and the company. We celebrate a lot. There are always surprises for us, a cupcake truck, summer party, halloween contests, so much to let staff know that they are appreciated. I have worked for many years, but this is by far the best job I have ever had.
Cons
Sometimes dealing with members or their families can be hard when they are unreasonable. Sometimes we do so much for them but they may still be unhappy and call and yell. But I work as part of a group which gives me a lot of support. My manager jumps in and helps too, when needed. We need more nurses as we are growing so much and sometimes it is hard to find really good ones.
