Pros

A steady paycheck and the in-house construction company gets fed projects from the development company so there are a fair amount of projects in the pipeline which creates job security.

Cons

-Micromanaging supervisors and executives -Poorly trains employees and unable to provide them with a solid foundation for success -extremely difficult to get questions answered or input from supervisors - almost everyone just forwards, delegates and defers everything; very few people actually read emails, or deal with issues hands on - terrible communication across business units and very adversarial - badly needs to put forth a lot of effort to get effective processes and protocols in place to create an organized company - needs better leadership which leads by example

Pros

Overall good pay and benefits

Cons

Everything else - I have been with this company for a year and the only training I received was about how to not hurt people feelings..... Finally they scheduled fair housing. They must have purchased the cheapest option available. I have experience fair housing training from a company that actually cares and I can assure you there were several things in this training course that are incorrect and will open the company up to a law suit. - When onsite you have no idea of who anyone is at corporate. If you have a question good luck. There is no where you can find a tree of who to contact if you need help. You are very much on your own despite their promotion of "family". - Lack of communication. I don't know if it was just our property or all properties but communication is delayed. You get in trouble for not doing something correctly, only to find out they changed the way it’s done and never told you. -Out dated. As an onsite employee it makes me nervous that the lease is sooooooo old and does not cover any of the polices they put in place. I know due to my past fair housing training that if you are found to discriminate weather intention or not you as an individual as well as the company can be sued. I feel this company has set us up for failure.

Hi, It's upsetting to hear that you feel disconnected from us and that we have fallen short of your expectations especially when it comes to training. We have a new director of training and we are hopeful experiences like yours will not be repeated. Did you ever bring your concerns to your supervisor? While we aren't perfect, we do strive to make Team Members feel welcome and supported. We are sorry that we fell short. We would love to talk with you about this further so we can understand. We hope you will give us a chance to turn this around for you. Call us. (312) 234-9400.
