Pros

Free snacks, often free lunch, snazzy new Oakland office close to Bart, slacker atmosphere and dress-code (At times damn right inappropriate)

Cons

Humm... This place is "Special" alright. Not like a seeing a "Forrest Gump" for the first time kinda special but more like your friend's Chad's 3rd cousin. The one who wears streaky underwear outside his jeans and tries to score $3.17 from you "Till Tuesday, brah!" None of the benefits outweigh gross millennial infested know-it-all self entitled atmosphere. They will beat you over the head with ridiculous "Values", they will claim your input is priceless while ignoring it, they will pretend that you will "Run the show" and step all over you. CEO has those meetings with everyone but dare you to bring up anything that rubs him wrong way and you can see him shutting down and "Advising" to talk to your manager. Its like being in the Pre-K with every single toddler knowing it all better than you and yet they cant wipe their own butt.

Pros

Good coworkers at individual contributor level.

Cons

Toxic work environment, coupled with awful leadership and upper management. It’s very rare, on some teams, to receive any constructive feedback, be it positive or negative. Selfish return to office policy that was pushed back countless times, disrupting the lives of many employees. HR that only has the companie’s best interests at heart. I could go on and on. I’ve heard tell from friends still at the company that all promotions and raises have been frozen till next year to accommodate salaries of C suite and VP level hires. Hires that have completely ruined any sort of company culture that was there before the additions. So it seems that the company continues down a negative path. There was a mass layoff in March that cut 50 people, and then a few weeks later, many new jobs were posted, and Everlaw is still continuing to hire even though it was “necessary” to thin the workforce. Actually just today, I learned another 10 people were let go. There are currently 16 open roles at everlaw. The math isn’t mathing when you’re hiring 16 people and letting 10 go. Many people not affected by layoffs have left since due to the declining work environment. As example, the Glassdoor rating when I started was 4.7. Now it’s 4 heading to the 3s. I’ll let you interpret that as you may.

THIS IS NOT A SAFE SPACE FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR! RUN!

Pros

The overall culture is kind, open, meek, and hard-working! Great company benefits, RTO perks, and an amazing mission, vision, and product!

Cons

There are no protective policies or enforcement of policies in place to protect protected classes from discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. If you complain, everything will be disregarded and management will not have to be held accountable for wrongful action. It seems everything in place is to protect management at all costs and to silence people of color or other underrepresented groups. Take a look that their diversity report and diversity in leadership/executive decisions and it is little to none. I highly do not recommend for any person of color to feel safe, heard, seen, or supported. If you are looking for a place to reduce workplace microaggressions or stress, this is not the place to be, as the team will disregard them and keep moving forward without concern.
