The honest truth

Pros

I have been working at Puget Sound Surgical Center full-time for a number of years now. For the most part I love my coworkers and as far as what we do for patients it couldn't be more rewarding. Helping people reach their goals whether surgically or non surgically is so rewarding and there is nothing like it! This practice is one of a kind really! As far as costs it appears to be cheaper in all disciplines than going anywhere else. Ie with cosmetics, orthopedics, Bariatrics, medical weight loss and sleep medicine!

Cons

Being one of kind means lots of uncharted territory to map out and being a multi disciplinary practice there is a lot of moving parts always. Very little stabilization the past few years. Not the pay I am seeking for me or my family but will have to do for now. Seems to be misplaced value with mediocrity being rewarded more often than not. Poor communication and no HR that anyone feels comfortable enough or is able to trust to do anything when push comes to shove (always sides with management despite the proof in the pudding).

Wonderful Patient Care, Poor Employee Care

Pros

They are one of the best companies in patient care. Love for the patients and their practice is surely what drives them and it shows.

Cons

Patient care is where it stops. This company severely undervalues it's employees. They are also deceptive in their communication between management and staff. New employees rarely receive adequate training if they receive any training at all before being tossed into the chaos. Even amidst known financial issues with the company and deciding not to provide the staff with holiday bonuses they made large purchases like a $40,000 truck and sent their management on a trip to Mexico. Communication in any capacity at the company is broken and unreliable. Would I visit this company for my medical needs? Absolutely. Would I recommend a friend to work there? Absolutely not.
