Pros

Nice office perks. A lot of holidays and vacations.

Cons

The organization was awfully managed. They had less than 90 employees but almost half were sr. managers and higher. I didn't see a career path for employees at all. The business was also struggling, I guess cause they didn't know who to listen to since there were so many bosses.

Pros

You are expected to do a lot of work but are given a huge amount of autonomy to do it. People that will thrive in this environment are able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities, minimal oversight, and are willing to wear a lot of hats. If you can do that successfully you'll be given more and more opportunities to expand your role and are really only limited by your own abilities and the business needs of the company. The organization is incredibly flat from a decision making perspective, which means that a new hire or an individual contributor can genuinely have their input heard and taken seriously at an executive level on a regular basis. There's also a huge amount of collaboration between departments so there's constant opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge. EBN has a very good benefits package (401(k) w/generous employer match, medical, dental, etc). Your co-workers are engaged, talented, and genuinely trying to save the world. There's a true collaborative atmosphere and a real sense of team.

Cons

Whether the cons are actually cons or just the realities of the job will depend on the type of person you are. Because this is a small company that's trying to do a lot the amount of work you could be doing in any given day is practically infinite. Your to-do list will never be completely done. If you aren't able to set your own boundaries about when it's time to stop working for the day the burnout potential of this job can be high. Lastly, if you are the type of person who likes/needs a lot of oversight in your job you might feel overwhelmed or like there's not enough clear direction for you to execute on a task or project.
