When I commenced employment in HiberniaEvros there was a sense of respect from management, like being welcomed into a family and being praised for the work I done.
Due to recent changes in middle management this is no longer the case. It is expected that you stay late to do extra work and "go the extra mile" due to the lack of resources that the service desk desperately needs without any consideration to an employees personal life. I find myself questioning my jobs security because I do not entertain this. Management have been made aware of the volume of work and that more staff are required but will simply not listen and expect everyone to pull their weight to the point that it affects ones well being.
There is , and not just a sense of as previously stated in another review here, a form of bullying from management in terms of their attitude towards employees that can be very insulting. If you don't break your back for them then you are treated with a lack of respect. It simply is not good enough to do your job on paper. There is a lot of personality clashes from what I can see between staff and managers and is dealt with in the form of intimidation.
The lack of planning by management always seems to be the floor staffs fault, and we are made feel that way even thought that is far from the case. We all try do the best we can but it is never enough.
I find that the handbook is thrown around often , unnecessarily and dramatically , but when its a case of an employee standing up for their rights, it is ignored.
Any attempts to improve the service we provide are also dismissed if you are at a junior level.
It is such a pity to see it go this way as it used to be a great company to work for
