Pros

The actual AA product is awesome as are the majority of the staff. I met some fantastic people from the US and EMEA. There are **some** good people in the very senior roles. The global team I was in are very under appreciated, each bringing unique skills to help the company and the Pre-Sales staff.

Cons

Unfortunately as is common with fast growing startups some initial staff get promoted to senior VP levels too quickly and have no idea about staff management, when issues arise in the field they adopt a bury the head in the sand mentality. Most of the team for another product line left last year. On a daily basis you'd discover that what you believed to be true for the last 6 months about a product feature, actually wasn't true at all. As I mentioned above, the core product is really good, but at a price (I have no issues with that), however, in my region the senior VP's did not have the ability to sell it for the benefits it brings, in the SIEM market if you go head to head with the current leader, it's not really comparing apples with apples, but they lack the understanding of that, so quite often truth takes a back-step and the solution is sized to a budget and not to what the customer actually needs resulting in issues further down the line. Throwing colleagues under the bus and bad mouthing them to external partners is rife. Culture and values are great, as long as you are based in HQ, if you are looking at a field based role, take the 5 star reviews with a pinch of salt. The best people to sell the product are those that have worked in the security operations industry, not people that you wouldn't buy a 2nd hand car from. Whilst the actual product is as far from snake oil as you could possibly get, some staff like to baste themselves liberally in it, daily.

Pros

Startups has a lot of opportunity for growth. Management appears to be doing its best to make a good working environment

Cons

Lots of challenges with the product complexity to get new employees to be up and running as soon as possible in my role. Newbies need mentoring to be able to help overcome workload, but mentors are already busy and swamped with their own workload to mentor and enable newbies to assist them better. This is exacerbated by covid pandemic that makes team work/collaboration very challenging
