Pros

- Downtown Toronto office - Ergonomic workstations - Often get to work cross-functionally

Cons

This is a dramatically different company than it was when I first joined some years ago. The fun, small-family-feel, and caring, people-centered culture that made this a great place to work has all but surely disappeared over the last few years. There is a lack of company direction, over-involved leadership, lack of trust in employees and a shift towards "survival" and "revenue" vs. empathy and caring about the customer (and their people). People are unhappy and it's been voiced several times, yet things don't change. Ironic, given this is a company that sells change management and human-centered solutions. I suspect great employees will continue to leave unless the culture drastically changes for the better. - Poor professional development opportunities - Subpar pay - Team-bonus structure (targets are unrealistic) - Out-of-touch leadership - Working outside of "normal" working hours is celebrated - Poor sales team culture - "Anonymous" surveys

Pros

I spent a number of years at ExperiencePoint in Sales. With the exception of my last year, I had some great times and thoroughly enjoyed working at the organization. It felt like a small family that was motivated towards a common goal.

Cons

Ever since the Founders hired a new VP of Sales, the company culture has drastically declined into a place that many different parts of the organization, not just Sales, are extremely dissatisfied with. The company motto has become "revenue at all costs" and empathy for the employee no longer exists. It is clear that management has prioritized the financial wellbeing of ExperiencePoint above all else, even its most important asset, its people. Be wary of the great reviews on this platform and company awards it has won since the fabric of the organization has changed dramatically over the past year, all for the worse.

Pros

There is an extremely talented team and relatively forward thinking management here that allows for great things to happen. Compared to many other places, you're very flexible with what you work on and when. Generally there is a great culture for innovation, and everyone you work with is smart and interesting. Culturally lots of great events and perks. Company is very generous and takes care of employees in almost every way you might need. Excellent work/life balance - rarely did I have to stay past 5:30PM, or be in earlier than 9AM.

Cons

No matter how hard the company tries to escape being traditional, they merely come off as imposters at worst and imitators at best of genuine forward thinking culture. On one hand you're told to dream and make big things happen, but then relegated to work that affects the bottom line immediately and never get to those big things. It's a great place to dream, but if you want to actually execute those dreams, it will be difficult. Similarly a culture of avoiding micromanaging, but when the going gets tough you will be micromanaged, making the situation unnecessarily more stressful for everyone involved.
