• Culture Change: From my perspective, the company culture changed significantly over the last two years. What once felt like a "people-first" environment began to feel, to me, solely focused on aggressive metrics at the expense of employee well-being.
• Goal Setting: In my experience, the sales targets and KPIs shifted in a way that felt discouraging. For example, recent changes to conversion goals made me feel like the targets were no longer achievable, which was demotivating for me and my team.
• Work-Life Balance: I personally struggled to maintain any work-life balance. I often felt implied pressure to cover staffing shortages on my days off, which led to me feeling burnt out and unable to recharge. Often working 7+ days straight regularly.
• Management Style: I felt that the pressure coming from upper management to hit numbers created what I perceived as a high-stress environment. It seemed to me that hitting a number became more important than the morale of the staff.
• Benefits Issues: While the base pay was decent, I felt the benefits package was inconsistent and unreliable. For example, during the year the company switched to Sidecar Health, I found the coverage to be practically unusable. In my experience, the reimbursement process was so difficult and complex that I felt I effectively had no health insurance at all during that period.
