Pros

Coworkers and direct supervisor are great. PTO is always approved.

Cons

The cost of healthcare insurance biweekly has more than doubled. I’m paying over $100 every two weeks for healthcare insurance. Before you can utilize any benefits besides office visits, you have to pay the deductible. If you need an MRI, lab work, x-ray, you have to pay the deductible first, and then only a portion is covered by the insurance company. It really is the worst insurance I have ever had. I am bringing home less money now than I was a year ago because of the exorbitant health insurance costs. Accompany this large should be able to negotiate better coverage for their employees without significantly impacting our paycheck.

Pros

If you are lucky enough to get to work locally with your patients and your staff, stick together. Try to turn out EHA and the corporate mess as much as possible.

Cons

How toxic and uneducated can the upper management get? Clearly the CEOs (why are there 2) are in it for money. They pick their favorites and if you are with Clemson Eye you are likely safe, and the rest ….who cares, you are just a number. Benefits! How crappy of insurance benefits can one corporation get? Clearly either EHA doesn’t care or the HR department isn’t smart enough to negotiate plans. $800 monthly premium will get you a $12k deductible then 40% out of pocket after that! It’s terrible. The C suite and management will smooth talk everyone until your practice sells to EHA, then it all changes. Your logo-gone. Your website-gone. All management-gone. Your good optical-gone. Your benefits and your patient’s experience-gone. Then they tear up your staffing and you lose the “family” you once had at your office. Look at the good reviews on here. Who are they from? Upper management. Of course they would be happy.
