Best job I’ve had so far, management has made me feel like family
Pros
Fairly regular schedule, ability to get coverage when sick easily (which is rare in other jobs), on the job training, kind and understanding management, fairly competitive pay (especially for entry level), great benefits. First floor coordinator is the most wonderful person I have even worked directly underneath and she makes going to work every day a good experience. We are very lucky to have her.
Cons
If you rely on a schedule that is exactly the same every week, you likely won’t get it unless you make it known that you need it, schedules change a lot, but I guess you go where you’re needed and when you’re needed. I’m sure if I said anything about it directly to the person in charge of making the schedule it could be accommodated. Patients tend to get frustrated with you directly with scheduling issues appointment wise, doctors schedules get overfilled and make it hard to keep up. But im sure that’s just them trying to accommodate everyone. Just stinks to be on the receiving end of the patients frustration with waiting when you’re doing everything you can to make their visit the best experience you can. Don’t know any solution though, so I just roll with it and try to be sympathetic to the patient and not take it personally.
