Pros

o Creative Tech is advanced and unique in the marketplace o Unlimited PTO policy is nice o People on the ground doing the work are talented, collaborative, genuinely good people o Company happy hours used to be fun

Cons

o Leadership (CEO) is extraordinarily uninspiring • Weekly meetings that address the company and state of affairs are an attempt to provide transparency and rally the company together, but it’s tough to get behind the vision when the delivery of that vision is monotone and lifeless. He also very clearly lacks human empathy. Any praise or affirmation he does give sounds forced. He makes Mark Zuckerberg look like Tony Robbins o Yearly layoffs are becoming as common as the Christmas parties • As sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, Eyeview will have layoffs. Any year that begins with 20 is likely a year Eyeview will have layoffs. 1 in 5 Eyeview employees will be laid off during their tenure no matter how strong the work and how much value they've contributed o Talented people have been shadily pushed out on biased circumstances or personal agendas • Every workplace has some level of office politics. This workplace, though, runs rampant with it. You could be absolutely horrible at your job, but if you’re in with the right people, you’re protected. If you’re not in and so much as look at those people the wrong way, pack your bags. You’re getting laid off. But you’ll need someone to drop your stuff off to you at a later time because you need to leave. Now. o Eyeview gives too much power to people who are a detriment to culture • There are three types of leaders: 1) Bullies who are rude and use aggressive tactics to get what they want 2) The spineless who bend over backward for those bullies out of fear 3) The great leaders who get pushed out or who are smart enough to leave for better situations eventually

Hiring While At Risk of Layoffs

Pros

Benefits package is pretty stellar. Pay is on par with what I expected. The environment and people seem friendly and pleasant.

Cons

Was hired for only a handful of months before suddenly being informed of mass layoffs one morning and being immediately asked to leave. It was a bit of a gut punch and a total surprise to me and everyone else who was impacted, I'm sure.

Pros

Great people, start-up culture, unlimited PTO, office location

Cons

Top-down management (company seems to do whatever the CEO wants no questions asked), continuous layoffs, unorganized and unstructured when it comes to attempting to improve the company, inconsistent with salaries (including gender wage-gap), poor communication and transparency despite constant announcements of wanting to be transparent
