Pros

Easy Schedule with reasonable accommodations, the people in charge have a good attitude and overall the environment is relaxing.

Cons

Aside from the obvious low temperatures the only downside would be any slow production days feeling drawn out.

Pros

You'll never be hot at work. The managers are cool.

Cons

Extremely low wages, all other CNC operators get paid more, and most have significantly less hazardous positions. The CEO who bragged about not having a job for a year and a half introduced himself to the company and tried to abolish breaks the same day. Located inside spec's and the spec's company loves to mistreat employees the toxic culture spills into fat ice heavily.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad to hear you had positive interactions with our management team and that the cool working environment was a plus. It's definitely one of the unique aspects of working at Fat Ice! We’re genuinely sorry to hear that parts of your time here felt disappointing. Your feedback is important, and we want to address a few concerns you raised. First, all employees on both first and second shifts are given breaks, and we recognize how essential those rest periods are, especially in a physically demanding role. If there was ever a time this wasn’t clearly communicated or upheld, we sincerely apologize and are committed to ensuring consistency moving forward. We’d also like to clarify that the CEO you referenced is still leading the organization. One of his efforts, in collaboration with our CFO, was to help bring on a dedicated HR Manager to better represent and support the employees of the company. Since then, HR has worked closely with leadership to strengthen workplace culture, improve communication, and prioritize employee well-being. Regarding compensation, we understand how important fair and competitive wages are. Our HR Manager partnered with executive leadership to develop a more transparent and competitive wage program. Employees can expect competitive pay, along with access to cross-training, career growth, and advancement opportunities within the company as part of our updated approach. Fat Ice remains committed to creating a workplace where all employees feel respected, heard, and valued. We’re continuing to work hard to improve communication, culture, and employee support across the board. Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us move forward!

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that the pay and steady hours were positive aspects of your experience at Fat Ice. We recognize that working in a cold environment presents unique challenges. That’s why we provide appropriate cold weather gear and PPE, along with a thorough safety program to ensure all employees are well-equipped and trained to work safely. We’re continuously improving our workspace and processes to make operations smoother. We strive to set production goals that are both challenging and realistic while maintaining a safe and supportive work environment. We regularly review our quotas and workflows to ensure they align with what’s achievable and prioritize employee well-being. If anyone feels the expectations are too demanding, we encourage open communication so we can work together to find a better balance. At Fat Ice, we are committed to treating everyone fairly and equally. We want to foster a workplace where all employees feel respected. To support this, we have updated our management training and are working closely with our leadership team to enhance how we lead and support our people. Our CEO and CFO have also brought on a dedicated HR Manager focused on representing and supporting the entire team. In response to your comments about wages, we have revamped our wage program to be more competitive and transparent, while offering opportunities for cross-training, growth, and advancement within the company.
