Pros

A few nice people, location is central in DFW, nice facility, not much else to say about this company. Over pay most employees, but there is a price to your career.

Cons

The interview process is long and tedious, expect to spend half a day at least and most of it in a room alone. They want you to interview with everyone but then no one has time for you. They want employees to have all kinds of education but when you get in you better act like a high school drop out and fall in line. There is no work life balance at this organization. They regularly call you at home evenings and weekends or while on vacation. Everyone is looking out for themselves, blame is the name of the game here. No team work to speak of. Every department is looking to cast blame on another department. If you're stuck holding the problem be prepared for a world of hurt. Employees are fired quickly here, don't expect a write up, just an escort out the door. Say good bye to technology, this company works in a time before computers. Carbon paper forms still exist here and with each form comes many many signatures. Good luck finding people authorized to sign the forms. Everything you attempt to do in a day takes 10 times longer then any other place you've worked at in the last 15 years.

Hipocracy at its finest

Pros

They pay well and provide lots of food for various occasions. Most employees are very personable. Free coffee, espresso, fruit, and 25¢ sodas.

Cons

New executive management says they value the employees but do not back up their words with actions. In fact, they never tell the whole truth and hide the reality of the direction the company is going. Lower level management only seem to be out for themselves and will step on their own people to make themselves look good. It became a sweatshop with long hours of chaos and no real recognition beyond false bravado. It is common to be told you are not expected to work long hours yet they continuously dunno project after project on people with a second thought for their current workload. Recent "training" seems geared toward conformity among false claims of supporting individualism. Promises are made to the board of directors without consulting the people actually responsible for doing the work. Employees are expected to tow the post line while being told to speak freely and then patronized.

Inequitable Cutting of Compensation

Pros

They provide pizza and coffee for employees on occasion.

Cons

The new bank president has significantly cut the bonus compensation of analysts, managers, and directors in an effort to save operating expenses, while allowing his friends in senior management to keep the same bonus level in order to enrich themselves. I've quickly come to the realization that this place is not a meritocracy. The President expresses a desire to change the culture of the bank in a positive way but his actions speak louder than words, and one of the main ways any organization expresses its values and regards for its employees is not necessarily the level of compensation but it's fairness. On that point, the president has miserably failed.
