Pros

-Strong work/life balance -Summer Fridays -Opportunity to earn commission -Leadership has been in the game for a long time

Cons

Granted, my experience is not universal but after seeing company responses to reviews that try delegitimize former employees speaking the truth of this place, I feel compelled to call them out. I worked here as a 'mailer' for an extended period of time and saw plenty of red flags, including: -Effectively lying about the business model. This is Affiliate Marketing. If you're unsure what this is, do your research and decide for yourself if you're okay with what you'll be doing. -Not much opportunity to earn meaningful commission. If you don't inherit a well-established account, it is very difficult to build accounts and months of effort can easily go to waste, especially when leadership notices (see Affiliate Marketing laws). -Had to fight EVERY MONTH to be paid the commissions I was owed. -Revolving door of new hires. Lost count at 30 people coming and going in my time, including some key leadership changes. Somehow doubt this has changed. -Blatant nepotism for select individuals within the company. -Frequent occasions of in-office drug use / employees being high at work. -An astounding lack of management, direction, vision, goals, etc. due to people constantly being fired or quitting. -Callous approach to employees. It's all about the money here and if you aren't earning enough you WILL be cut.

FLEX Marketing Group Response

Thanks for the feedback and being a part of our team last year. Flex's goal is to offer an inclusive atmosphere where hard work is rewarded and these results often require month to month input for the maximum reward. We are sorry to hear you felt the structure was difficult for you to earn what you wanted and we always do our best to be transparent and fair. The earning structure at Flex is developed based on our client's needs. If you didn't earn in the areas of your focus, then it is because the targets were not achieved. Flex prides itself on being a nice place to work and we are always aiming to improve the experience of those around us. We want people to enjoy being here and we are sorry to hear that your experience did not live up to this standard. We wish you the best of luck in the future.

Beware this company

Pros

Flexible hours (office is empty until after 10 AM), dog friendly, great location/view

Cons

Totally inadequate training and feedback from management. I was laid off without warning as soon as the department started to perform poorly. You'll have to live with the fact they're in the business of sending spam and selling people's email addresses to other spammers. I'm sure they'll chime in and say that what they send isn't "spam" (they DO apparently only send to people that have opted in), but they frequently send out ads for male enhancement, sketchy dating sites, and paid surveys that never actually pay out. I was also required to work on weekends even though there was no mention of it during the hiring process.

RUN! This is a morally bankrupt company

Pros

Close to Central Park--that's it

Cons

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Flex Marketing Group. This place is a moral black hole, and here's why: **1. Unethical Targeting:** This is a scam business at its core (think class action lawsuits ads or those spam articles you see on major news websites). During the trainings, business leaders will openly brag about intentionally ripping off "dumb, uneducated Midwesterners with a 7th-grade reading level". They don't see people as people--they see them as dollar signs. $$$ **2. Exploitative Practices:** They shamelessly prey on young, naive individuals just starting their careers. It's a breeding ground for exploitation, taking advantage of people eager to kickstart their professional journeys. Notice how no one (except the founder/ president) are over 40.... You will be asked to perform job duties that have NOTHING to with your job description and are for the CEO's personal gains, including writing his wife's 40th birthday party invitation. **3. Blatant Nepotism:** Nepotism runs amok here, with family members reaping all the benefits. Just check who has the same last name and how long they've been at the company versus others--you'll catch on quick. **4. Disregard for Work-Life Balance:** Work-life balance is a myth here. Prepare to sacrifice personal time and well-being to meet their outrageous demands. PTO is not a thing--they will hound you at all hours. They are money hungry. **5. Shady Business Practices:** It's not just talk; their actual business practices are shady. No transparency, no ethics - just a company sinking to new lows. Just read the negative reviews on Google.. **6. Turnover Nightmare:** People will be there one day, gone the next, with no explanation. At Flex, people are truly disposable. Save yourself the agony. Look elsewhere for a job that respects your ethics, values your skills, and won't exploit your enthusiasm. Flex Marketing Group is a cautionary tale of what a company should never be. *Run away, run fast.*
