I’ll start by saying they will promote anyone to manager, just for being a hard worker. Many of the managers were good in their respective roles before, but lack management skills.
I felt that he (my boss) had a lack of transparency with me, as well as very obviously favoring (my one teammate) over me. He would cancel and reschedule our weekly 1:1s every week with no explanation, but still kept his time with (coworker)
He would tell me I had "customer complaints", but would not show me or tell me what the complaints were so I had no opportunity to correct my course and improve, despite me asking him.
I was never told that I was on a probationary period until the day that I was fired. Thus, also not giving me an opportunity to course correct and ask what I could do better so that I could no longer be in the probationary period.
Additionally, when I approached (VP of professional services) with my concerns regarding what was happening with (my boss) to try to clear things up, I was brushed off and told that no matter what, I should "always fear for my job". What a terrible thing to instill in your employees, to always fear for your job. You should always want to grow and improve but FMG Suite does not see that as a value.
I was always expected to respond to client emails outside of working hours, but never compensated for that time as overtime was not approved.
Reporting anything to HR will accomplish nothing at FMG Suite. Don’t expect to be treated fairly if you are not a white straight male.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.
