Pros

- Good reputation in Lebanon and in the region - Company with reputable profile, big investors - Working for big clients in the region - Flexible working hours - Very young employees - On going recruitment for new positions - Company that can attract candidates

Cons

- Lack of focus on a true employee experience - Day-to-day operation is far from glamorous - Company that cannot retain employees - No clear management and leadership almost absent from higher management - No intention of helping an employee to grow. Frustration on daily tasks to meet client's due date - Some managers demonstrate a lack of respect for employees - Issues raised to higher management and never taken into consideration unless it feeds their own personal targets and needs which leads to unhappy employees and teams - Company rarely takes in consideration employees complaints - Not enviable workplace culture - No benefits, just the basics - No clear job descriptions - Irrelevant Job titles - Barely leaves on time, with no overtime - Performance assessment and management guidebook for staff: Doesn't exists and not taken very seriously - Very weak recruitment and hiring process: Leads to hiring a lot of incompetent people - Prioritizing employees based on the number of years they have been in the company and not on the progress of their work - Internal decisions regarding employees are made based on emotions - No encouragement from the company to participate in workshops, conferences or even networking - The people who may be brilliant at solving technical issues may not bethe best candidates for management.

Pros

- excellent experience overall for junior engineers - you get to work with really reputable clients - good on cv in the lebanese market - lunches are fun. You are going to make some great friends

Cons

Ohh where do i start... - they have a real problem when it comes to recruitment. You will have to deal with incompetent and passive aggressive colleagues(not all of them though) - personal stuff interfere in everything: promotions, annual reviews, salary raises, workload etc..) - there is no hierarchy whatsoever. You can be a senior engineer who gets paid less than a newly hired junior engineer WHO you are currently training( happened an awful lot of time) - most project managers are incompetent and passive aggressive. Also some of them really like to blame developers on their mistakes - the HR department is straight out useless. No matter how much you raise a certain problem to them nothing is going to be done about it(unless of course you are a close friend with the higher management) - being a hard worker barely matters - this is funny... But most junior engineers are much more knowledgeable and hard working than most senior engineers. - office drama at its best. - they don't care about employee's career progress - they try to integrate and include new technologies in their projects but it is rarely done. They usually ignore everything for the sake of finishing on a really harsh deadline( even your own sanity) - higher management never takes the advice of their senior engineers seriously. They are VERY stubborn. - forget about getting any decent amount of raise no matter how hard you work unless you come up with a counter offer( or of course again... You are a close friend with the HR department or the higher management)

Pros

- Cool projects (Not always) - Okay working environment - you get to learn few skills to put you on the map and apply to another company... - Glad I am no longer part of it anymore !!!

Cons

- Stressing working hours - Not good to stay in more than a year if you want to grow further in your skills - Technical stuff repeats it self -- routine projects following the same solution (old technologies and framework versions) - Micromanagement - No attention given to grow employees technical skills and other skills (no investment in employees) - you don't get to increase your skills enough to level up to a senior level by practicing design patterns or architectural patterns -- sometimes the tech leads in the company actually work in an anti pattern style - No proper planing Sessions for the new projects .. Methodologies like Agile or waterfall is just a name in between employees -- no actual knowledge of how to execute them - You do not fee appreciated by management - Office politics is heavily practiced - Incompetent employees are hired - Incompetent technical leads -- leadership doesn't exist in current leads - Senior employees are not actually seniors .. Titles are given left and right just to please the people
