      Poor Management & processes not followed throughout the business

      Pros

      Free fruit and wellness Wednesday, low level staff are friendly and feels like being in a family environment at times.

      Cons

      Poor Management!! Directors and MD know about managers and complaints made against them, but refuse to do anything!! Staff suffer mental and verbal abuse at the hands of management and HR!! Discrimination against staff by managers is the norm and nothing is done and when you complain you are made to feel even worse because HR won't do anything either as they are too far up the directors backsides!! I've never known a HR department that is so unapproachable!! Working practices like sickness, leave, flexibility and working from home is abused widely among the technical and sales departments, yet admin and finance are refused any flexibility at all costs. Staff are taken on from an agency and yet even when they are rubbish they are still made permanent because managers can't be bothered to try and get better staff!! Contractors are treated better than employed staff!! The senior management have a "Do as I say and not as I do" attitude..

We are glad that you recognise the family ethos at FSI as this is something that we are very proud of and strive to uphold as the business continues to grow. We are by no means perfect but we definitely do not want any of our employees to feel like they have nowhere to go or that nothing is done with the feedback provided. We are taking your comments very seriously, and if you are willing to discuss this with us, please do not hesitate come and see any of the board members when you feel ready. In the meantime, we will be reviewing the practices in the departments you have mentioned to understand what we can do to improve.

      Not a good company to work. Think twice before joining

      Pros

      Good for someone to gain some experience in IT industry. Good products and you will have the ability to work with good clients. If you are good you will get more challenging work given daily and this will keep you occupied. You may be given a company car and there are no targets for me to get or achieve. You will have the freedom to work from home.

      Cons

      No space to sit in office and i have never worked in such a bad office. No progression in my salary even after working very hard for few years. Chairs are all very old and are bad and are broken chairs. In my opinion the infrastructure is nothing close to any IT company and the infrastructure is bad. After seeing the emails for dish washer usage i stopped using it. If i get a chance again i will not join this company.

      Dead End Job with zero room for progression.

      Pros

      Poor planning leaves huge holes in work schedules, so there is plenty of time to put your feet up and look busy.

      Cons

      Poor departmental management, only made worse by department managers being happier to blame other departments than get to the root of the problem. Regularly using expressions like 'sometimes you need to burn your fingertips to know not to do that again' or 'it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission' No end of year appraisal, and should you beg for one, the cop out will be that 'it’s all decided by the MD, I will make a recommendation on your behalf'. No to minimal pay review, expect nothing, that way you can’t be disappointed.
