Pros

Competitive benefits package and charity work that is being executed in our local offices. Our December Seasons of Giving was a great opportunity to spend time with co-workers to wrap gifts for those in need.

Cons

I have been with Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI) through tremendous growth under Ron Shroder's leadership, when FTI had a strong culture and was deeply rooted in the 4C's. Unfortunately, that culture has slowly eroded away. For the past 4 years, we have gone backward. We walked away from the core at what made us successful and we have replaced leadership with a C-Suite that only cares about profit and EBITDA and less about truly pleasing our dwindling customer base. The rotating door of new leadership with our customers is getting old and tiresome and too be honest, they don't care. They want to see flawless execution and technology that can solve their problems. We have gone from having SBIR Phase III Contracts to MAC IDIQ's that we will have a hard time winning and task orders on. The pressure is consistently put on us in operations to not only execute the business but to also find new business, while no accountability exists for a failed C-suite that is geographically dispersed across the United States. No new business in years; constant churn in leadership; defense related technology that is vaporware with no ATO; and a pipeline that we are asked to populate that is far from the truth and inflated at leaderships request.

Pros

Good The company is in a unique growth phase, transitioning from a small to medium-sized business and now aiming to become a large organization. This can bring new opportunities for growth, experience, and exposure to various projects that employees might not get at more established companies. Some colleagues and teams are genuinely hardworking and talented, and the company has potential if it addresses its internal challenges.

Cons

The company’s expansion has unfortunately revealed significant ethical issues. I’ve witnessed blatant nepotism, favoritism, and other behaviors that foster an overall toxic work culture. HR, while seemingly well-intentioned, falls short in addressing complaints, even those with serious legal implications. Complaints from employees, including those tied to ethics and compliance, are routinely dismissed, creating an environment where concerns about integrity and accountability are ignored. Senior leadership compounds these issues. Some leaders have targeted certain employees, going as far as to fabricate narratives and pursue unjust administrative actions against them for personal reasons. In the office where I worked, the culture was highly toxic, marked by intimidation, fear, and coercion. A former senior government employee was hired as a VP, and their influence has been particularly damaging. This VP used their position to further their own interests, disregarding the priorities of government customers and producing no tangible results for them. Furthermore, they used their authority to hire family members and retaliated against employees who wouldn’t blindly follow their instructions. Disturbingly, this VP is now involved in the same government program they once oversaw, which raises clear ethical and legal concerns. The Huntsville office operates under a climate of fear, and any meaningful work the company does is overshadowed by the blatant disregard for legality and integrity at the senior leadership level. HR’s reluctance to address these issues only worsens the environment, allowing toxic and abusive practices to continue unchecked.
