- Management chaotic - No career progression, lack of interest. - Promises and plans about supporting employees but they are empty words. - No increase in salary after one year of employment as it was stated in contract. - High employee turn over. - They don't value the data science team which is the core of the business. - A lot of hiring and immediately after, layoffs. The day I was laid off, the CEO says among other things in an official email to employees announcing the lay offs "I know that today is a sad day, but it is not a bad day.." So imagine how it makes you feel after losing your job

-Supportive team mates and manager -Most people seemed friendly

Cons

The work was unstimulating with zero opportunities to get creative and grow. Most boring place I've worked at. They really lack a sense of direction and organization. Never understood what was happening and no one seemed to share anything. Classic case of start up receiving funding and hiring more people than they need only to fire everyone later on. What a waste of time.

Interesting subject matter that could inform global businesses

Cons

The CEO surrounds himself with people who unquestioningly support his every word and action. He likes to present himself as a zen business guru and then savagely cuts roles without warning, and after repeatedly telling the work force how well the company is doing. And because of the culture, no one questions or stands up to him. There are a few individuals who are favoured and supported no matter what. This just reinforces the lack of challenge that is so badly needed.
