Pros

The only pros I can think of are that the estheticians at our location in particular are amazing to work with, most of the clients are amazing and so loyal, and the pay is good.

Cons

This is probably one of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for. It’s so bad that I don’t even know where to begin. First of all our main service is facials, we don’t even get the appropriate or variety of products to do the facials. We are constantly running out of supplies because of improper ordering/no money and when we do run out of supplies the assistant managers of our store get blamed even though they do not do the ordering and DO communicate when things are running low. We have so much broken equipment that the company refuses to repair. And when they do say they will repair it, they give us a runaround and it’s very clear that they want us to think they care about these issues… Now let’s talk about our marketing and social media. TERRIBLE! The person that runs marketing and social media has no idea what they are doing. There is no consistency, the information is usually wrong, and there is always missing necessary information (like promos with no end date listed). Our estheticians constantly give input and feedback that we know would help the business but they refuse to listen because they think we are stupid and beneath them. With marketing comes the lack of business cards. We have been out of them since around early November and we are now in MARCH. How can a business NOT have business cards?! We hand out sticky notes to the clients and it is so unprofessional. And then there is our COO Namrata, the queen of condescending, know-it-all, gaslighting, and victim blaming. She runs this company…..to the ground. I’ve never met anyone so petty and rude in my life. I’m surprised she gets away with as much as she does especially when she makes “mandates” that go against California labor laws…hhmmm….class action lawsuit anyone? This company lacks communication. There is a lot of “so and so should’ve told you this”. And then comes the lack of accountability, it’s never anyone’s fault that information wasn’t properly communicated or a ball was dropped. They also love to start projects and get halfway there!…..and then we never hear about it again. They claimed to have worked with a scrub company to provide uniforms, what happened to that? They worked on creating a digital RX card, what happened to that. I’m not sure how many times we’ve told upper management that on the confirmation emails “waiving all cancellation fees” is listed at the bottom, clients should SUE for being charged. Maybe that’s a project they would finally finish if that information got out. If any investors are reading this, PLEASE do not waste your money on this company! They do not care about the industry they are in. All they care about is being in power and telling people what to do while they make salary for not staying up to date with current trends in the industry.

Pros

- Great clientele which comes with experience - Quick 40 min facials with no fuss of facial or body massage - Open space setting - Lots of way to make more $$ with add on services & product recommendations - Tips on top of your hourly - Shifts can range from 4 - 8 hours - Quarterly product training with in house brands plus gratis if you attend - Employee discount on products - Employee monthly facials if booked on non-busy hours - Initial training provided - Autonomy

Cons

- Employees are not treated as professionals, and while basic training is provided, colleagues do not share knowledge freely. - un-professional management systems re dealing with employees issues - management berates staff in regards to the smallest and pettiest of things - Changes are made by senior management almost on a monthly basis of the most irrelevant issues. - There's definitely a clique vibe with some of the women. Expect to be left to your own devices if you are not part of the sophomoric clique. - Minimum hourly rate - No room for growth - No further training provided unless there's a new protocol introduced to the menu - - un-professional colored uniforms. Does not set the tone for a spa like facial salon. We look like we work in a fro-yo store or a cafe. - No end of year Christmas bonus/present - No break room or microwave as per the original owners

Pros

If you’re open to it, you can learn a lot from your fellow estheticians.

Cons

Haus management wasn’t given enough opportunity to run the business without meddling from higher ups. Bad resource management. Poor fiscal management. Be prepared to be micromanaged to the n’th degree.
