Pros

Fortunate to work with a nice team. Experience in facial massage.

Cons

High staff turnover, Poor pay, Physically and mentally exhausting, On your feet the whole shift, Provided inadequate amount of uniform, Tiny staff room (Size of a cupboard ), No microwave, Pushy sale incentives, No work life balance, Repetitive strain injuries, No work benefits (besides quarterly treatments), Head office don’t care about therapists, No team building, Lack of diversity in head office. Lack of creativity (set routine for every treatment), no room for progression, tasked to do reception with no training, AND if you leave in the first 2 years you have pay back hundreds for training although we do not gain any certificate or qualifications for it.

Pros

Hard working estheticians, interesting concept, cool clientele, fast paced work environment. Decent benefits recently implicated.

Cons

Upper management does not care about its trainers. We were expected to work like machines, while trainers frequently got injured due to overworking hands/bodies. This has never been acknowledged or corrected. Management has no idea what it takes to be an esthetician and has little respect for what we do, they saw us as dollar signs. Commission for trainers is low for the amount of work we put into our clients. On top of this, studios were not properly maintained, mold in the sinks and broken machinery/chairs that was reported but ignored for months and months (I am guessing still not corrected).

Pros

Nothing is good from working there

Cons

-Toxic enviorment, very competitive with comissions. -No communication between departments at all. -Management changes every 2 months -Notting hill is the worst studio, manager never at the studio and there's no consideration at all for employees. If you're new you're not welcome at all, the team is separated between FOH and Trainers making it competitive. Trainers there are the worst, rude and hateful. - St Jhons Wood management (same as nh) is bad, Head office makes one manager in charge of 2 studios and do a bunch of different things making the place a total mess and unorganised. Not caring at all about the manager working more than 7 days in a row! -Payslip always wrong, had to check every single time if I was missing money and every time something was missing. -HR is terrible the new HR will not help you at all if you ask for help, so forget about taking care of your mental health in that place they don't give a f* about you. -Staff working at HeadOffice is RACIST, go there and you will see only white and blond lazy people. They will make fun of you if english is not your first language, they don't even know what the prices of the treatments/products are or how to sell to clients but they will organise a seminar on how to interact with clients? Funny. - If you miss money after leaving the company they will ignore you and don't pay you! -Treatments are over-priced and products as well. Face machines are terrible and cost a fortune. - You are not allow to take holidays in December - You can't sit down -FOH only has one break while trainers get 2 breaks and the chance to do whatever they want if there's no clients. - Free treatments and products for influencers and VIP clients but not for the employees. - Slow and old laptops making it very difficult to work. - Clients are rude and they're allowed to treat you like a piece of sh while the manager is there and not say nothing. - Hiring people with lack of experience
