      Understaffed and It becomes your problem.

      Pros

      Plenty of hours Discounts and credits Pleasant Environment as far as temperature and cleanliness Typically polite (or at least not an issue) customers and lots of quiet time throughout the day

      Cons

      Understaffed (expect schedule changes and to have to do multiple things at once if there is something going on) Old Systems and Building, be mindful of that

      working alone, responsibility, clothing allowance every month

      Cons

      no benefits unless you are a Manager with a max of 28 hours at $12 an hour..not enough to pay bills; favoritism; ageism (they hired a Manager with zero retail experience or education over someone with over 20 years of experience and multiple degrees because they are "cute" - which is what I was told directly from the DM. The manager makes the schedule based on the days she wants to work and you get the rest. Clothing allowance is only for regular priced items.

      Pros

      Great job as a young adult. I learned so much from my coworkers and truly enjoyed my time.

      Cons

      Working in retail around the holidays can be a pain, but my boss and coworkers made it all worth it.
