Pros

No micro managing, flexible schedules, great coworkers.

Cons

Management is incompetent, and they seem to think it is acceptable to scream and swear at employees in the middle of a very small office for everyone to hear. Even if you are not the target of their anger, it is quite disheartening to hear your co-workers and friends being treated this way. Inappropriate, unprofessional, and sometimes quite vulgar conversations take place regularly, and due to the size of the office, they cannot be avoided. The company refuses to spend any money on the tools needed to do the job. Meaning engineers are left to work with an assortment of free tools that do not integrate well, resulting in much time wasted tracking work, copy/pasting, manually merging changes, searching emails, updating spreadsheets, logging on/off in various places, and digging through folders looking for documentation that all too often just doesn't exist. Existing product is not well documented at all, change requests are not well defined, and questions are often ignored, forcing engineers to guess at what is required. Management is slow to answer questions and clarify requirements, but they are quick to throw others under the bus when things aren't done right and done on time. The company does not, as of my time there, have any business analysts, meaning nobody is looking at the big picture and thinking things through from beginning to end. This leads to a lot of rework, and more wasted time, when it is revealed down the road that what was requested won't work.

Pros

Excellent benefits! Managers were very flexible and understanding with the life and work balance. If asked to work on a critical project the expectations were set upfront and were managed effectively. I really enjoyed working here and had no issues with management.

Cons

Travel may be more than agreeded upon depending on the customer. That being said the managers were flexibile in working with you on that.

Pros

Salary is good. Flexibility of your time is good. Not much micromanaging. Nice co-workers.

Cons

Benefits are terrible. Depending on your job, you put in looooong. hours. Managers are arrogant and condescending and overpaid.
