Pros
Decent pay but not great
Cons
All of the family hospital emergency rooms in Texas are detox centers. They take RISE patients which is how they make most of their money and stay afloat. Georgetown TX is the exception (for now) but you won't get to work there as everyone wants to work there and management picks favorites. I was hired thinking it was a normal ER system and in reality it wasn't... If you work for this company 98% of the time you will be taking detox pts high off of drugs and alcohol and housing them in the ER for days cleaning their feces and urine off the hospital beds and dealing with their behavioral issues with no security. I am not made for detox patients nor do I want to work at a detox center so I quit. That is not what I went to school for. I was never told that this company cosplays as an ER but is really a detox. Also, no one should be subjected to second hand smoke from patients smoking outside the ER as they detox and employees are forced to watch them and go outside and be in the smoke. That is not okay!
