Pros

The Famoso company really tries to make each store seem like a family. I worked at two locations, and at the first one I loved working there. The people were amazing, which made it really easy to have an awesome time working as a waitress, even if it was for rude customers. It's an easy company to move up in if that's your goal, and they really seemed to care about me. I still eat at Famoso when I can, I love the food and the kitchens are very nice and clean.

Cons

The pay is horrible, since it's a waitressing position. I worked here before the restaurant was full service so we didn't have to take orders from the table. This is why the tips weren't as great as another restaurant. The first Famoso I worked at I loved, but I moved and worked at a different location in another city, and my experience was terrible there. It was super cliquey, the managers were all over the place and didn't seem to care about making everyone feel like they belonged, there was a hierarchy system within the baristas, and many of them were quite rude. The managers might have been good for managing a restaurant, but not the people in their restaurant. The shift times also suck, I was told I would be given six shifts a week, but I barely worked 3 hours each shift. So that adds up to at the most 18 hours a week, with crappy tips and working only during the peak hours. I did not like that about this job.
