      Toxic Environment

      Pros

      Solid pay, nice office space in a good location

      Cons

      -Toxic/abusive environment- CEO had a whiteboard of every employee's name on it with tallies every time he wanted to "kill them". -Within span of 4 months, 3 employees (of 8 full time remaining) quit because of the toxic environment. -Expect to be openly humiliated in front of entire company frequently by the CEO. -Strict 9am to 6:30pm workday, WFH is not an option and lateness is punished. -CEO has no long term plan for getting product out to market. Values "looking good" rather than developing a product that actually works.

      Pros

      You might get a decent salary and meet some nice people. The business cards were top notch. I’m talking 32pt paper weight, with a spot gloss logo and everything. You will love passing these out to friends and family.

      Cons

      You’ll work on a product that completely changes direction month after month. It’s like writing an 80 page magnum opus but you aren’t allowed to press save the entire time. And as soon as you’re happy with the font choice the professor walks up and restarts your computer.

      Nice office. There is a patio area on the roof with a view of the bay.

      Cons

      The CEO is unable to correctly identify or back effective engineering leadership. Being hired to work on vapor ware.
