Posting this with the hope that it will help many others in the team who I'm aware are struggling right now with the same problems I encountered during my time with Fathom.
- Top-down leadership style
- Lack of vision, direction, company and quarterly goals
- Communication from leadership lacking, many meetings and off-site days with nothing ever coming out of it
- No accountability over work
- Slow or no decision making and no trust in senior employees to make decisions
- Employee feedback and surveys felt like it was there to reaffirm confirmation bias and support existing agendas, things that were challenging or hard to work through were never addressed or dismissed - this felt like they were building a culture that rewarded not speaking out
- Questionable hiring practices (some teams asked to put together businesses cases, others able to hire directly from their communities, others able to scale in a completely unbalanced way)
- Bonus structures exclusive to CS and Marketing teams
- No diversity in leadership
- Directors still heavily involved in day-to-day often meaning employees get caught up in Director politics
- Poor feedback delivery and process (I saw this crush some employees)
- Decisions aren't data driven and more often than not opinion based
- Overstepping from other teams
