Pros
Pros are that it's an ammo factory and most of the group is cool to work with...I was a machine operator here for almost 2 years and I've enjoyed working here up until December of 2024 when the owner put his pompous arrogant Louis Vuitton suits wearing narcissistic buddy, we'll call him Sammy, in charge of digging him out of the $100 million dollar hole he's in. Immediately the production Mgr, CEO and COO quit because they knew they couldn't work with Sammy. First thing he does-layoff of almost 40 people, a week before Christmas, takes us from 3 12hr shifts to one shift of 4 10s, buys 3 snap-on tool boxes with tools,has his little workhorse buddy buy a bunch of lumber to build a bunch of unnecessary tables and workbenches, kicks the managers out of their offices to stand up at said workbenches, layoff of another 11 people in January after making us begin what would become a 6 week stint of deep cleaning of all the machines, bringing all production to a grinding halt and converting the factory to the 5S standard. SIX WEEKS OF CLEANING! (Continued in the Cons)
Cons
Layoff of another 5 people -3 of them essential operators, parts&inventory person and a very valuable maintenance person, changed our shift to 8-5 M-F, almost purposefully delaying production, deciding on a whim to unnecessarily change parts and pieces of machines that don't need anything done to them while other machines stay broken. At least 6 coworkers have quit, in addition to the 56 laid off, we're currently at around 37 people, 95% of us hate it here and we all wish Sammy would just go home. lt's one mind game after another, waiting for Sammy's approval, waiting for him to give the green light on something, doing things 2 or 3 times because Sammy doesn't want it that way.. and finding out that he met with a staffing agency for an hour to find people who want to work here? We all make $20 and above and he's going to staff it with cheaper labor, don't fall for it, don't work here. Update: another layoff of 4 people, including myself, at the end of the day 3/17/25, all 4 essential machine operators. Cons: Sammy.... Sammy is the only Con here and he's ruined it.
