Great coworkers but chaotic leadership and high turnover

Pros

Somehow continues to function because around 80% of the staff are genuinely cool human beings. Hardworking, supportive, funny, resilient, and the sort of people you’ll probably stay friends with long after escaping. There are some incredibly talented people there doing their absolute best despite the chaos around them. The company also offers a truly unforgettable lesson in “how not to run a business”, which honestly has some long term career value. You’ll develop resilience very quickly. The farm office has a certain charm too if your dream workplace aesthetic is “office furniture warehouse during a closing down sale.”

Cons

Leadership is… memorable. I’ve never seen so many people come and go from marketing tech and sales in such a short space of time. I was only there a few years and lost count. Potential candidates may want to take a quick look at Companies House because the revolving door of directors is indicative People leaving left right and centre, morale on the floor, and no interest in lisgen to staff feedback which explains why everyone ends up here writing anonymous reviews instead. The irony being that the business talks about how terrible anonymous review culture is because they hate Trustpilot

Pros

There are some genuinely lovely ICs.

Cons

Toxic working conditions. Micro-management from the top down. A lot of favouritism with some teams, and there are no real career progression opportunities. If you value your mental health and a good work-life balance, do not work here.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s genuinely concerning to hear that your experiences have led to these frustrations. Our goal is to always strive to create an environment where every team member feels trusted and supported. Regarding your comments on work-life balance and office presence, we want to clarify that our culture is built on performance outcomes and flexibility, rather than monitoring hours at the desk. We empower our managers to trust their teams to deliver results, and we don’t use hours in the office as a metric of success. We’re deeply committed to mental health and ensuring our teams feel supported. If there are any specific instances where you felt this isn’t the case, we take that very seriously and want to address it. Regarding career progression, while we cannot always guarantee immediate promotions, we're committed to transparent performance management and providing the development tools needed for long-term growth. We’d appreciate the opportunity to hear more about your specific experiences in a safe, confidential space. Please do reach out to the HR team so we can address these concerns directly and work toward a solution.

Thank you for sharing your perspective! We're pleased that you’re feeling the energy behind our shift toward AI adoption, new product evolution, and our partner-led approach to sales. It's great to hear that the open door policy and our flexible working model are supporting your day-to-day experience. Regarding your feedback on long-term career development, in a lean team, we recognise that the next step isn't always a straight line, and we want to ensure every employee sees a clear path forward. This is exactly why we are currently rolling out a more robust, structured performance management process across the business. A central part of this is the introduction of a Skills Matrix, designed specifically to help you and your manager identify the competencies you need to reach that next level of seniority. Whether that means moving into leadership or becoming a specialist Master in your field, we are committed to providing the framework to get you there. We value your contribution at Feefo over the past few years.
