Pros

Good compensation Good people Company promotes diversity Company is self driven and doesn't rely on outside investors.

Cons

Your experience will really depend on your manager. The company doesn't train the managers on how to effectively manage and whatever they say is what it is. They can make or break your experience. Work life balance can be difficult. Even if you have PTO, you are penalized for taking it if your project schedule overlaps. Not enough teamwork, too much reliance on a single person to meet business objectives. Can be very chaotic without checks and balances. Business choices are made in a quick time driven chaotic fashion. Way too much money spent on completely unnecessary purchases that end up collecting dust and provide no true return on investment. Development opportunities lacking. There is a large disconnect between what protocol the company says we follow versus how we actually operate.

Pros

CEO is friendly and believes in doing the right thing; still says he supports DEI and did not eliminate any related initiatives. Pay is competitive; strong BRGS.

Cons

Must be part of a clique or you will not last long with the company. Your work products may have someone else's name on it if you don't pay attention. No development of resources, your manager will compete with you and make you look bad so you are not competitive with them.

Pros

- Based in Chicago by Union Station - 401k match - Talented individual contributors being hired in the less-than-10-yrs-experience group

Cons

- Poor benefits (worst I have seen) - Misguided DEI initiatives (can't accurately assess absence of talent in minority leaders and executives - which is a point of contention amongst minority team members who, rightly, see these individuals as an embarassment) - Poor vacation - No work life balance (work always comes first - they will literally ask you to travel out of country and then ask if you can stay AN ADDITIONAL MONTH when you get there - who does that??? and your weekends are no more if you travel out of the country!) - Sexism (females are treated differently on some teams and are not "favorites", get given most of the team admin work, and are held to higher standards than male counterparts) - Inept HR only used to protect executive leadership, and not responding in a meaningful way to employeesurvey findings or complaints; also recruiting misrepresents roles and company culture when hiring) - Poor culture (lead by authoritarian leaders who lead via intimidation and singling people out)
