Pros

Travel brings new experiences Get to keep your travel points Friendly coworkers

Cons

Some people get paid a lot more than others even though they do the same job as you and have the same experience There was a point when overtime was standard but firedoor keeps reducing it, thus paychecks keep getting smaller Dead end job

Thank you for your feedback! As companies grow, the structure of the company must evolve with it. FDS has looked into the pay differential and has worked to ensure those that were not in line with the standard are now. We have developed a pay scale that is followed when individuals are hired to ensure we are within the appropriate pay range. FDS has worked hard to ensure that our field technicians have a work/life balance and we saw that Overtime was cutting into that balance. We decided on a course of action that would allow individuals to be home more and not require as much travel in the field. We are glad you enjoyed traveling and seeing new places! One of the benefits of travel paid for by FDS is the accumulation of points you personally earn towards air, hotel and rental cars that can be used for personal travel during time off.

Never thought company’s like this existed

Pros

The only positive experience within this company is the close bonds you make with your coworkers as you struggle to come up with reasons to not voluntarily place yourself in a financial crisis in order to leave this place. Oh and also you get free snacks.

Cons

This company sells you a false sense of cultural excellence from the moment you walk into the door. Soon after realizing that the “culture” is in shambles, much like a WWII Axis Power, you are told that it could be great, that is if you rally your coworkers and feed them the same self delusions the executive team has. It became very evident that the only way to succeed in this company is to piggy back off of and relish in the failures of other. When you create an environment of unnecessary micromanagement, leading through fear, and uncertainty of the future, you become a brief stepping stone for employees who want to take their career seriously. Leadership is severely out of touch with their employees and will make work miserable for anyone with dissenting views.

Awful management

Pros

Occasionally you will get along with your counterparts

Cons

They tear their employees down until they feel like they are worth nothing. The expectations are different for every person. Lots of inner department drama cause by management. Management has no accountability. Everything and everyone is treated with a “If you don’t like it, then leave” mentality. Every employee is expendable. They do not care about current employees opinions. It is impossible to grow within the company.

We are disappointed that you feel FDS doesn't provide you an environment for success. FDS values each of our team members and we work each day to improve our company and culture. We routinely have promotions within the company, rarely do we higher outside personnel for leadership positions. Leaders are selected based on skillset and performance, no other factors are considered. Leaders are held to high standards of performance and they in turn hold their team accountable. FDS has numerous ways for team members to share process improvement ideas with all levels of leadership. It would be interesting to know why you stated "Occasionally you will get along with your counterparts". We have a large office staff, why do you get along with them only occasionally?
