Pros

Earlier today, I received an email notifying me that Firm Media leadership had left a response attached to my original review of my experience with the company. Id like to share my thoughts about that. It’s true. Firm Media is a place that welcomes talent, diversity, and creativity. That part of his response is absolutely true. In addition to being talented, the people I worked with were hardworking, earnest, and genuinely cared about producing wonderful work for the company and their clients. Unfortunately , I saw so many of these people be worn down by management, myself included, with mind games, overwhelming workloads, and empty promises.

Cons

Hi! Real life former employee here. I left an honest review of MY experience at Firm Media a while back and I am, in fact, NOT a bot. I am hurt that would try to get my review removed and then, when unsuccessful with that, would leave a response on my review that attempts to diminish my voice. The common negative sentiment seen across these reviews isn’t due to some nefarious plot from a former disgruntled employee. It is, however, a mirror being held up to leadership and they aren’t comfortable knowing that they don’t really treat their people well. I wish they would sit with the discomfort and then learn from it. The frequency of the reviews in the past year closely matches the frequency of departures from the company. About FORTY people have left since 2023. That should be a wake up call, not the start of a conspiracy theory/witch hunt. Lastly, to speak to the anonymity of the people leaving reviews. It’s common knowledge among current and former employees that there have been threats of legal action to past employees. So, of course we want to be anonymous.

Pros

Nothing at all. Terrible work environment.

Cons

- This is one of the worst companies imaginable. - Incredibly toxic, political, and hopelessly disorganized. - Things were constantly changing. - One week you would hear one thing, and the next week it was something completely different, making it impossible to know where you stood. - The CEO plays favorites, and some employees has a far easier path than others. - Some are simply ignored no matter how hard they work. - Upper management kept talking about opportunities and growth, but almost nothing ever changed. - Employees were constantly watched and given almost no freedom. - You cannot move forward with any decision without asking for approval first. - It's depressing to see hardworking people forced to put up with this.

The review above is automated. My name is Nathan Greenberg and I became CEO just over a year ago. Glassdoor has refused to stop or remove these bot posts so I'm here to publicly respond. Interested applicants can put a real name and reputation to the truth. Firm Media is a place that has welcomed talent, diversity, and creativity for 18 years. This string of negative reviews stems from a single employee terminated years ago. They appear roughly once a month and have, generally, the same cons. Some say we're in Wisconsin. Some say we're in Canada. They're manufactured. If you want to know the real Firm Media culture, talk to us. We welcome you to our office and you can even ask about these reviews. We don't hide behind anonymous posts and job titles that never existed here. We look forward to meeting you.

Pros

If you like pretending everything's fine, you'll fit right in — that's basically the whole culture here.

Cons

The whole operation runs on this weird, exhausting forced positivity where nothing real ever gets said out loud. Like, genuinely nothing. You bring up an actual issue in a meeting and suddenly it's "oh great opportunity for growth" or "let's find the silver lining" — which honestly gets old after the first month. Problems just sit there festering while everyone agrees everything is amazing, and then when something actually breaks, everyone acts shocked like it came out of nowhere. The feedback culture doesn't exist because feedback would require admitting something isn't perfect, and that apparently threatens the whole vibe somehow. I watched real issues that could've been solved in a day just disappear into this void of forced positivity, and nobody ever addresses them because that wouldn't be "team-oriented enough."
