Pros

Some of the staff are so amazing. They treat one another like family and after having to be belittled by the CEO, they support one another through the harassment they deal with on a daily basis.

Cons

Something is really wrong with this CEO who changes her name from Ms. Duncan to Ms. Young. She constantly threatens and yells at staff and gets the to the verge of quitting. She calls you names and often states she ‘knows people’ and will investigate your entire life to scare you. She reminds you how lucky you are, but you aren’t, and will threaten to take money, position, and insurance away. She told me she reported me to social security and said my diplomas were fake.

Pros

They pay for your background testing and fingerprinting

Cons

My Headline is a nice warning. In the 5 days I was employed for this agency my title was change 3 times and I never rec'd a job description. Yet, on the 5th day, I was told I was not capable of performing the job I was hired for, although my interview was one hour over the phone and 5.5 hours in person. In addition, I was told that I must have fabricated my resume and that I really didn’t work for the companies listed on my resume, I was abusively told that I did not have the qualifications that I needed to maintain the role I was hired for. Here Ms. Young, a.k.a. Marguerite, Ms. Duncan, Mrs. Marguerite Duncan-Young and a few other titles depending which state she was in, initiated and continued to insult my qualifications and role for Firman Community Services. Finally, I asked for a final letter of discharge and was denied this. I think Marguerite came out of the cage this morning via phone because she decided to play with hiring a new set of employees and when she woke up today after the previous day’s payroll, she is deciding on backing out on her business plan. I would have adored advocating for the clients of this agency. But as a warning steer clear of this agency and their programs as a whole. Overall, the way she treats her employees trickles down to how they treat their clients: Inappropriate, Abusive and Any Kind of Way. When, in social services it’s supposed to be Appropriate, Uplifting, Respectful and Encouraging. Potential Clients and Employees Steer Clear. Best wishes in what you the reader are looking for. Finally, if you see a good review for this agency they are fabricated by the CEO or her assistant, no one else, factual because this was a topic discussed in my short tenure.

Pros

Compensation is average to above-average compared to other non-profit agencies. Average to above-average benefits package. Many dedicated employees who try to support and encourage new staff. Days-off are granted during the holidays. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of professional development opportunities.

Cons

Policy changes, and other changes, are told to employees at last minute. Employees are often name-called by upper management, to their face and behind their back A lot of communication from upper management consists of yelling. Workers use profanity in the schools. High turnaround of middle-management.
