. Good area to get experience in, but unless you want to live there, plan on getting experience and leaving.

Cons

Lots of burnouts. Entry level for EMTs and Medics. Typical revolving door as people move on to better things

Management, aka battalion chiefs and HR mean well and try to improve the company/emploee satisfaction.

Cons

Upper management fights hard using a difficult attorney to avoid wage increases in union negotiations despite serious staffing shortages causing (at times) poor patient care due to overwhelming call volume.
